Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV Sen. Harry Reid See Full Scorecard  seems to care more about public relations than he does about protecting Americans from the ravages of Obamacare.

But don’t take it from us.  He mistakenly called the continuing resolution, or CR, the “PR” twice today in a press conference after the Senate tabled (i.e. killed) the House CR to fund the government but delay Obamacare for one year.

Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY)  Sen. Charles Schumer, See Full Scorecard, normally quite an aggressive and bold speaker, was quickly shot down when he tried to help Harry find the right word.

“I got it!” Reid snapped.

This may have been a slip of the tongue, but it’s pretty accurate and a bit ironic.  Democrats would rather jeopardize America’s future by leaving President Obama’s socialized medicine unscathed than give credence to the fact that it’s already failed.

Oh wait, Democrats have already called it a train wreck.  Well, at least Harry Reid doesn’t want to give credence to Obamacare’s failures – that it’s unfair, unworkable, and unaffordable.

But remember, for Harry, it’s all about saving face.  As part of this effort, his new thing is to call anyone who opposes a government takeover of health care in America an “anarchist.”

Apart from the fact that that’s a wildly inaccurate characterization of the 57 percent of Americans who oppose Obamacare and the 68 percent of Americans who fear for their individual health care under Obamacare, it’s just pure bullying.

And what do you know?! Mr. Reid characterized bullies with a description that can be applied to him very well:

As Heritage Action CEO Mike Needham said Monday:

The Bully Senator Reid“Harry Reid and his colleagues just punched the American people in the gut. Fifty-four Senators voted to protect Obamacare, which is already separating patients from their doctors and employees from their employers, instead of their constituents. It is absolutely clear that Harry Reid would rather shut down the government than give Americans the same exemption President Obama has given his friends.”

The big bully on the Hill, Senator Reid
