Al-Zawahiri, Gadahn In New Al-Qaeda Video Marking 11th Anniversary Of 9/11: ‘It Is Absolutely Out Of The Question That The U.S. Will Defeat The Spirit Of Jihad In The Islamic Nation’; ‘Muslims Should Fight America’
On September 11, 2012, Al-Qaeda’s media wing, Al-Sahab, released a new video featuring the group’s leader, Ayman Al-Zawahiri; U.S. born spokesman Adam Gadahn; slain commander Abu Yahya Al-Libi; official in charge of da’wa and media in Urdu Ustad Ahmad Farooq; and old footage of the late radical Yemeni-American cleric Anwar Al-Awlaki.
The two-part video, titled “Truth Has Come and Falsehood has Perished,” is over an hour and half in duration, and is in three versions – Arabic, English, and Urdu. The video was first posted on the jihadi forum Shumoukh Al-Islam.

“It Is Absolutely Out Of The Question That The U.S. Will Defeat The Spirit Of Jihad In The Islamic Nation”
Ayman Al-Zawahiri: “It is absolutely out of the question that the U.S. will defeat the spirit of jihad in the Islamic nation – the same spirit that defeated the U.S. in the battlefield, as well as in the war of ideas.
“In the battlefield, the U.S. was defeated and withdrew from Iraq, under the pressure of the strikes of the mujahideen, especially those of the Islamic State of Iraq, may Allah support it and grant it success. The U.S. fled and left behind a subservient Safavid government, which now absorbs the blows of the mujahideen, led by the Islamic State of Iraq, may Allah support it.
“These are the mujahideen upon whom Allah has bestowed the honor of shattering America’s plan to take over the Middle East. Their goal was to take over Iraq and divide it up, then to move on and divide the Arabian Peninsula, and finally to occupy and divide ‘the big prize,’ as they called it – Egypt. But the heroic mujahideen of Islam in Iraq led by the Islamic State of Iraq confronted this plan, foiling and thwarting it, forcing America to flee.
“In Afghanistan, the U.S. has begun its withdrawal, leaving its collaborators to the fate of their predecessors in Vietnam and Iran. In the Arab countries, the U.S.-proxy regimes have fallen one after the other, and the U.S. is out of breath, trying to contain the volcano of Arab rage.
“It is encouraging that these regimes have begun to collapse prior to the American withdrawal from Afghanistan and Iraq, whereas the Soviet-backed regimes of the Warsaw Pact started to collapse only after the Russian withdrawal from Afghanistan. This indicates that the U.S. is in a state of extreme weakness, which may even exceed that of the USSR in its final days. Hence, the change to come will be even greater, with the help of Allah.” […]
“The Strength Of Al-Qaeda Lies In Its Message To The Islamic Nation And To The Oppressed… Rise Against The Global Order Of Injustice”
“The strength of Al-Qaeda does not lie in its numbers or in its equipment, which cannot be compared to those of the Western empire of evil. The strength of Al-Qaeda lies in its message to the Islamic nation and to the oppressed in this world. The message is: Rise against the global order of injustice, against international arrogance, and against worldwide theft. Rise against the polytheist regime which worships materialism, power, interests, and pleasure. Rise against the international Satanic legitimacy, which supports the oppressor rather than the oppressed, the slayer rather than the slain, and the thief rather than his victim.

“They are dragging us to democracy and secularism so that we will not rule by Islam and they will be able to rule us. Whenever the Islamists win [elections], there are 1,000 ploys to prevent them from assuming power. In Algeria, the military solved France’s problem by means of tanks, and in Egypt, the military solved America’s problem by means of the corrupt secular courts that rely on tanks as well.

“The Claim That America Is Not At War With Islam As A Religion Is A Bald-Faced Lie”
Adam Gadahn: “Ever since his election, Barack Obama has made it a point to emphasize over and over again that, as he says, America is not, and never will be, at war with Islam.
“Now, it’s clear that Obama is trying to pull our leg here. Obviously, Obama doesn’t know what the future holds. I mean, even assuming that America is not at war with Islam today, how can Obama be so certain that America will never be at war with Islam?
“Let’s say, for the sake of argument, that America really isn’t at war with Islam. Does that mean that Muslims shouldn’t be fighting America? No. In Islam, if someone comes and attacks me, I’m not required to ask him: ‘Oh, are you attacking me because of my religion, or because you want my oil wealth?’ I defend myself. Period.
“America is crystal clear about its opposition to Islam as a political system, to Islam as a ruling system, to islam as shari’a – and shari’a is the essence of Islam. So, how can America say that it is not at war with Islam?
“I’ll give you just one example of the animosity of America to Islam. There is this congressman Mark Kirk. He was on the air the day after Qadhafi was executed, talking about how we must stop and prevent the formation of an Islamic party in Libya.

“I was going to say that America has no problem with Islam as rituals – prayers, fasting, and so on -but then I remembered the protests against the Islamic centers in New York, Temecula, and Tennessee, I think, and other places. So I think that the claim that America is not at war with Islam as a religion is a bald-faced lie.

“The civilization which boasts that it is the most knowledgeable in the history of the world cannot plausibly claim that it has been unable to properly understand a religion whose followers number in the billions, and which commands its adherents to openly preach and propagate its doctrines and tenets. The civilization that claims to have uncovered the secrets of the heavens and earth cannot, after making such arrogant claims, justify the act as if Islam is some sort of esoteric mystery religion, with arcane beliefs and rituals unknowable except by the initiated.”
Islam Is “The Religion Chosen By God For All Of Mankind”
“So, because I know that there are among you those who will respond positively upon hearing the truth, and because I know that the hearts of even the most hardened of enemies can be softened, if God so wills, I would like to devote this talk to making a heartfelt invitation to my religion, Islam.
“‘Islam’ – ‘the surrender,’ or ‘the submission’ – is the religion chosen by God for all of mankind, the religion of all the prophets and messengers – from Adam to Abraham, to Moses, to Jesus, to Muhammad, and all in-between.
