Western Understanding And Thinking About Islam Are Surreal

Condoleezza Rice: “. . . there is no contradiction between democratic values and Islam . . . It’s not Islam or democracy. Those two can certainly live together.”

Hillary R. Clinton: “Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.”

John F. Kerry: “The biggest error we could make would be to blame Muslims for crimes. . .that their faith utterly rejects . . . .”

Jim Kenney, Philadelphia Mayor: “In no way shape or form does anyone in this room believe that Islam or the teaching of Islam has anything to do with what you’ve seen on the screen [attempted police officer assassination]….It is abhorrent. It is terrible and it does not represent the religion or any of its teachings. This is a criminal with a stolen gun who tried to kill one of our officers. It has nothing to do with being a Muslim or following the Islamic faith” [in spite of the shooter stating that he did it for Allah and ISIS].

The Delusional “Solution” To Islamic Jihad, Islam Will “Reform” Itself

The reform goals of outspoken Muslim reformers:

Zuhdi Jasser, American Muslim reformer: “We reject interpretations of Islam that call for any violence, social injustice and politicized Islam. Facing the threat of terrorism, intolerance, and social injustice in the name of Islam, we have reflected on how we can transform our communities based on three principles: peace, human rights and secular governance. We are announcing today the formation of an international initiative: the Muslim Reform Movement.”

Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Egyptian President: “I am referring here to the religious clerics [at al-Azhar University].   We have to think hard about what we are facing—and I have, in fact, addressed this topic a couple of times before.  It’s inconceivable that the thinking that we hold most sacred should cause the entire umma [Islamic world] to be a source of anxiety, danger, killing and destruction for the rest of the world. Impossible!”

“That thinking—I am not saying ‘religion’ but ‘thinking’—that corpus of texts and ideas that we have sacralized over the years, to the point that departing from them has become almost impossible, is antagonizing the entire world.  It’s antagonizing the entire world!”

“Is it possible that 1.6 billion people [Muslims] should want to kill the rest of the world’s inhabitants—that is 7 billion—so that they themselves may live? Impossible!”

“I am saying these words here at Al-Azhar, before this assembly of scholars and ulema—Allah Almighty be witness to your truth on Judgment Day concerning that which I’m talking about now.”

“All this that I am telling you, you cannot feel it if you remain trapped within this mindset. You need to step outside of yourselves to be able to observe it and reflect on it from a more enlightened perspective.”

Enlisting Muslims To Fight Muslims

Obama is so delusional he believes that, by not naming Islam in strategy formulation, Muslims can be recruited to fight and die for Western interests; consequently, he has officially designated U.S. strategy as “Countering Violent Extremism” (CVE): 

White House Fact Sheet: “Countering ISIL — The United States established and is leading a Coalition of more than 60 partners committed to degrading and ultimately destroying ISIL, and today welcomed new Coalition members Malaysia, Nigeria, and Tunisia to join those efforts.  While military power rolled back some of the group’s territorial gains and improved local partner forces’ capabilities, Coalition efforts to begin countering ISIL’s messaging, disrupting its finances and countering the FTF threat continue to be equally important.  And through humanitarian assistance and stabilization programs, the Coalition is helping those who have survived ISIL’s barbarity.  Yesterday the Coalition released a statement outlining the breadth and depth of counter-ISIL efforts in the past year.” 

State Department Press Release: “Statement by the Members of the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL: The Coalition at One Year — In the year since the formation of the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL we have made progress on our campaign to degrade and defeat this unprecedented terrorist scourge. Additional attacks against the Yezidi people appeared imminent. Since that time, despite inevitable setbacks, the Coalition has followed through on its comprehensive, strategic approach, and has proven its ability to constrain Da’esh’s freedom of movement in Iraq and Syria. The Coalition has also made progress organizing efforts to slow down ISIL’s reinforcement of fighters, counter the group’s messaging, and decrease its finances.” 

Islamic Power Brokers’ Reaction To Al-Sisi and All Reform Efforts

Simply stated, there was absolutely no reaction from Muslim institutions that rule on the legitimacy of Islamic doctrine like Cairo’s Al-Azhar University (rough Islamic equivalent of the Catholic Vatican), or from Muslim Brotherhood U.S. front groups including the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Islamic Society of North America, and Muslim Students Association. There have been no statements or press releases and no interviews or speeches from any authoritative Islamic sources endorsing reform, or even mentioning reform.

The Results Of Enlisting Muslims To Fight Muslims

Again, the sheer folly of expecting that Sunni Muslims were going to rescue the West from Sunni Muslims by fighting and dying for Western interests became apparent in the kinetic war against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. In spite of the false bravado in the White House and State Department’s statements above, the major Arab Sunni powers like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have just about totally abandoned that military effort. In fact, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and the UAE have stopped flying combat missions against the Islamic State completely. Those nations that are still involved are almost entirely NATO countries and Australia, not Arab Muslim. Furthermore, any idea of mounting a combined Islamic ground force against the Islamic State has been a “non-starter” from the beginning of Obama’s fanciful coalition. But the people talking about such an unrealistic possibility are Obama regime spokespeople and utopians who deny the truth about Islam. However, the Sunni non-participation in the kinetic war against the Islamic State does not mean that they aren’t involved in major military action. Instead of combating the Sunni threat to the western powers, the Arab Sunnis have gone back to the hostilities against Iranian Shiites and their proxies that they have been battling on-and-off for 1400 years. The Sunni Arabs are totally devoted to warring with Iran’s proxies, Houthi Shia rebels, in Yemen, not the Sunni Islamic State. Sunni versus Shia sectarian dominance and control of Islam are the spoils of war that motivate these sectarian Muslim warriors. Conclusion  In view of Mohammad’s words above as recorded in Islamic scriptural writings that clearly delineate any and all non-believers of Islam as enemies of Muslims to be fought and conquered, or killed, it is absolutely absurd to think that practicing Sunni Muslims are going to fight their Islamic coreligionists in service of the West at the end of the day. Also, it goes without saying that Shi’ism that is dominated by the staunchly sectarian Iranian Twelver mullahs will war with the Sunnis, but certainly not in the interests of the West. As to reform, how are Muslim reformers going to justify “reforming” the “word of god” in the Quran, the divine origin of which is the categorical, sacrosanct Muslim belief? Any time a “moderate” or “reformer” Muslim posits that Islam should be non-violent and tolerant, they invariably lose the argument (if not their lives) because Mohammad decreed that Islam is violent, intolerant, and jihadist. So the god of Islam and its prophet both stated unequivocally that the mission of every capable Muslim was to convert, subjugate, or kill non-Muslims in order to install Islamic Sharia law worldwide. The strategy behind this approach to imperialistic conquest is that, once Sharia is the only jurisprudence in a land, all human and ideological obstacles that obstruct the dominance of Islam as the preeminent and controlling religion can be eliminated. In summary, the same reasoning why Sunni Muslims will not fight other Sunnis for a non-Islamic cause and why Islam is unconditionally un-reformable are the reasons why any Western strategy that is dependent on Sunni Muslims to vanquish or reform Sunni Islamic jihad has no basis in reality.
