It is little known that the New York Times reported on a chat that Wikileaks allegedly had with Guccifer 2.0, in an article from July 18, 2018, entitled “Tracing Guccifer 2.0’s Many Tentacles in the 2016 Election” by Sanger, Rutenberg and Lipton. It appears the source for this article is the Russian Indictment.

According to the Indictment, Wikileaks’ message to Guccifer 2.0 was, “If you have anything hillary related we want it in the next tweo days prefable because the DNC is approaching,” and “and she will solidify bernie supporters behind her after.” RightSideNews has previously reported on the Senate Judiciary Committee’s push for Twitter to disclose these chats.

The chat was conducted weeks after the it was reported that the DNC server was hacked, when Wikileaks also allegedly told Guccifer 2.0 on June 22nd to “Send any new material here for us to review and it will have a much higher impact than what you are doing.”

It has been unclear who sent what to whom in 2016. Did the person or persons holding on to the DNC emails, send them both to Guccifer 2.0 nd Wikileaks simultaneously, or did they give some to Guccifer and some to DNC? Or was Guccifer 2.0 the source of info and sent it to Wikileaks? Or did Wikileaks send the emails to Guccifer 2.0 to release? With this email, it appears that Guccifer 2.0 sent the files to Wikileaks, unless Wikileaks is only pretending this is the case and purposely sent fake messages to Guccifer 2.0 knowing they would be disclosed later.

That in this narrative, Guccifer 2.0 specifically sent the files to Wikileaks, is consistent with Guccifer 2.0 very first post to his WordPress site, where he says that “the main part of the papers, thousands of files and mails, I gave to Wikileaks. They will publish them soon.”

In a related matter, a recent article by Raffi Khatchadourian of the New Yorker claims that Wikileaks received DNC emails and/or documents before Guccifer 2.0 was established as a persona. This leaves the door open to, did Seth Rich or someone else leak one set of documents to Wikileaks well before Guccifer 2.0 made his first appearance?

According to Khatchadourian, “One intelligence official … indicated to Reuters last year that the e-mails relayed to WikiLeaks had followed a “circuitous route,” by a series of handoffs, on their journey from Moscow. Such a scenario seems to be at odds with the idea that Guccifer 2.0 merely sent WikiLeaks an encrypted link to download it all in one swoop.”
