How Obama’s “compassion” includes letting in illegal aliens from Syria.

A couple of years ago I wrote an article about the scam foisted on Americans by political “leaders” who claimed that all that the United States needs to do to end illegal immigration, is to secure the border that is supposed to separate the United States from Mexico.
In that article, “The ‘Secure Our Border First Act’ Deception: Why it’s no solution to the immigration crisis” I noted that in the Longfellow poem, “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere” that Paul Revere’s friend had it relatively easy to warn Paul Revere as to how the British would be coming. In fact, with just three lanterns, Paul would be alerted if the British were coming by land or by sea.
Here is the paragraph from that poem that addresses the possibilities:
He said to his friend, — “If the British march
By land or sea from the town to-night,
Hang a lantern aloft in the belfry-arch
Of the North-Church-tower, as a signal-light, —
One if by land, and two if by sea;
And I on the opposite shore will be,
Ready to ride and spread the alarm
Through every Middlesex village and farm,
For the country-folk to be up and to arm.”
In that article I listed ten ways for aliens to enter the United States either legally or illegally. Indeed, if we were to seek to hang enough lanterns in a church to warn of all of the possibilities the local hardware store would likely not have enough lanterns to covers all of those possibilities.
Furthermore, lighting all of those lanterns simultaneously would likely cause the Old North Church to catch on fire.
Today we will consider TPS (Temporary Protected Status), one of the ways that illegal aliens are being granted lawful status and employment authorization. That “protection” is now being provided by the administration to illegal aliens who claim to be citizens of Syria.
In spite of all of the concerns that have been voiced by FBI Director James Comey and key members of the FBI, CIA and other intelligence and law enforcement agencies, who have unequivocally stated that Syrian Refugees cannot be vetted, the administration continues to admit these aliens and promises to ramp up the number of Syrian refugees they will admit into the United States and settle them in communities that may well object to these actions out of reasonable fears that they pose a threat to community safety and national security.
Now the administration has announced that illegal aliens from Syrian will be granted TPS even though there may be no way to determine their true identities including their actual countries of citizenship or their true dates of entry.
This poses at least as great a threat to national security and public safety as does the refugee program for Syrians who cannot be vetted. Illegal aliens, by their actions enter the United States without inspection, evading the inspections process conducted at ports of entry, altogether.
They aliens trespassed on the United States and often the information they provide is the only information we have about them.
Of course criminals, terrorists and fugitives are all honorable people who would never lie (NOT!)
As I concluded in my recent article, “Hillary Clinton’s Immigration Goals Would Irrevocably Undermine National Security:”
While the open borders anarchists blithely refer to these (illegal) aliens as being undocumented, they are un-inspected.
Think of it this way, you cannot tell a “good guy” from a “bad guy” without a scorecard.
“Undocumented” aliens have no scorecards!
Considering the broader issue of TPS, it is more than ironic that the term used to describe the way that illegal aliens are being granted lawful status involves protecting them– from our immigration laws that were enacted toprotect America and Americans.
The State Department website provides a list of all of the 22 countries whose citizens are eligible to file for TPS. That list includes countries that are associated with terrorism including Lebanon, Kuwait, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen as well as the just-added country of Syria.
Aliens from these problematic countries should have to undergo careful scrutiny. Such essential scrutiny is not a component of the TPS process and therefore this poses a direct threat to national security.
In the days, weeks and months after the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 our leaders constantly warned us that to succeed the terrorists only had to get it “right” once. To protect America and Americans from the next terror attack we need to get it “right” 100% of the time.
Once again the issue of national security must be raised. In the days, weeks and months after the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 our leaders constantly warned us that to succeed the terrorists only had to get it “right” once. To protect America and Americans from the next terror attack we need to get it “right” 100% of the time.
Every alien who is admitted into the United States provides the terrorists with that opportunity of getting it “right” and creates the possibility of our government making that truly deadly mistake by getting it wrong.
There have been a succession of terror attacks since 9/11. Thankfully most of those attacks failed. However, innocent people were killed in several deadly attacks where the terrorists, aliens who gamed the immigration system, got it “right.”
Here is what aliens who are granted TPS are “protected” from:
During a designated period, individuals who are TPS beneficiaries or who are found preliminarily eligible for TPS upon initial review of their cases (prima facie eligible):
- Are not removable (deportable) from the United States
- Can obtain an employment authorization document (EAD)
- May be granted travel authorization
Once granted TPS, an individual also cannot be detained by DHS on the basis of his or her immigration status in the United States.
TPS is a temporary benefit that does not lead to lawful permanent resident status or give any other immigration status. However, registration for TPS does not prevent you from:
- Applying for nonimmigrant status
- Filing for adjustment of status based on an immigrant petition
- Applying for any other immigration benefit or protection for which you may be eligible
This raises the question, “Who will protect us?”
The original concept behind Temporary Protected Status was to enable aliens present in the United States from having to return to their countries when catastrophic events occur, such as volcanos erupting, tsunamis, hurricanes or earthquakes devastating a country.
What you likely don’t know is that today aliens from such countries may still be entitled to TPS even if the disaster occurred more than a decade ago. Citizens of El Salvador were initially granted TPS on March 9, 2001 and they are still eligible to remain here until, at least, March 9, 2018. (You have to believe that the administration’s crystal ball shows that conditions will still be too severe for at least another 18 months.)
Citizens from Honduras were granted TPS on January 5, 1999 and their status will expire on January 5, 2018.
There are other such countries whose citizens are “protected” from having to go home because of events that occurred years ago. Furthermore, it is likely that if Hillary Clinton is elected president that one of two things will happen- she will either simply extend their TPS status for years to come or simply do as she and her side-kick Tim Kaine promise, grant them lawful status and United States citizenship so that they can remain here forever and not on the “installment plan” that TPS represents.
Here are a couple of paragraphs from the official DHS (Department of Homeland Surrender) website you need to consider:
Alert: The Central American Minors (CAM) Refugee/Parole Program provides certain qualified minors in El Salvador a safe, legal, and orderly alternative to the dangerous journey that some children are currently undertaking to the United States. Parents with Temporary Protected Status may be eligible to apply for their children.
When to File for TPS
In order for you to maintain Temporary Protected Status (TPS), you must re-register during the 60-day re-registration period that runs from July 8, 2016 through Sept. 6, 2016. We encourage you to register as soon as possible within the 60-day re-registration period.
If you have never been granted TPS, you may be eligible to file a late initial application. Go to the “Filing Late” section on the TPS Web page for more information.
The notion that parents would leave their children behind during a catastrophe should certainly call into question the sort of parents they are. If the illegal alien is a woman, it would be physically impossible for that parent to have left a child behind in her home country for so many years and her “child” might well no longer qualify as being a child by now.
If these aliens were supposed to have been physically present in the United States for many years and failed to present himself/herself to immigration authorities for years, it is likely that the alien may well be lying about when he/she actually entered the United States. Additionally, any alien who failed to come forward for years should not be entitled to any consideration.
While it is reasonable that at a time of a catastrophe that our country, would permit women and children and the elderly to remain in the United States until conditions can be improved in their home countries, we currently provide illegal aliens with TPS who are working as day laborers.
When a disaster strikes the most valuable workers are those with construction skills.
Why on earth would our government permit illegal aliens to remain in the United States to do home-improvement work on houses in the United States, when their construction skills are badly needed in their home countries?
Americans need a PPS (Permanent Protection Status) from their own government that certainly does not have their best interests at heart.
