Border Patrol agents seized over 13,853 pounds of marijuana and 117.5 pounds of cocaine. Agents arrested nine criminal aliens and five gang members. There were five rocking incidents.

El Centro Sector– Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Calexico, California.  During processing, the subject admitted to being a Florencia 13 gang member. Records checks revealed he had an extensive criminal history and had been previously removed from the United States.

El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Calexico, California. During processing, the subject was identified as a member of the Mara Salvatrucha 13 (MS-13) gang. Records checks revealed he had an extensive criminal history and had been previously removed from the United States.

El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested a United States Citizen (USC) and seized a small amount of marijuana at the traffic checkpoint in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Records checks revealed the subject was a member of the Sureño gang and had violated probation for a previous criminal conviction.

San Diego Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested two USCs near Spring Valley, California. Agents were conducting surveillance when they approached the subjects and identified themselves as Border Patrol agents. One of the subjects attempted to assault the agents with a knife. Both subjects were subdued and taken into custody.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Ajo, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject had a prior conviction for rape of a child in the state of Washington and had been previously removed from the United States.

El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Calexico, California. Records checks revealed the subject had a prior felony conviction for sodomy of a child under the age of 16. The subject had also been previously removed from the United States.Laredo Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Rio Bravo, Texas. Records checks revealed the subject had an active warrant of arrest for a violation of sex offender registration laws in the state of Wisconsin. The subject had also been previously removed from the United States as an aggravated felon.

Rio Grande Valley Sector– Border Patrol agents seized 2,018 pounds of marijuana near Mission, Texas. The marijuana was found abandoned in the brush near the Rio Grande River

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 117.5 pounds of cocaine, a Lincoln Navigator, and arrested two USCs at the traffic checkpoint near Falfurrias, Texas. The subjects presented themselves for inspection and a Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle by agents revealed the cocaine.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 194 pounds of marijuana following an ultralight aircraft (ULA) incursion near Douglas, Arizona. Agents observed the ULA enter U.S. airspace and responded to the suspected narcotics drop zone, where they found a basket containing the marijuana. The ULA was last seen returning to Mexican airspace.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 2,390 pounds of marijuana, a tractor-trailer, and arrested an illegal alien from Mexico following a vehicle stop near Willcox, Arizona. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle and a subsequent search uncovered the marijuana.

El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Santa Teresa, New Mexico. During processing, the subject was identified as a member of the Sureño gang. Records checks revealed he had an extensive criminal history, including a felony conviction for cocaine possession and assault on a police officer.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 3,217 pounds of marijuana, a tractor-trailer, and arrested a USC at the traffic checkpoint near Falfurrias, Texas. The subject presented himself for inspection and a Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle. A scan using non-intrusive inspection technology revealed anomalies in the trailer and a subsequent search uncovered the marijuana.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 2,108 pounds of marijuana from an abandoned house near Fronton, Texas. A concerned citizen reported suspicious activity at the house and agents responded, observing bundles of suspected narcotics in plain view. El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested a group of 13 illegal aliens near El Centro, California. During processing, the group claimed to have been robbed by bandits near La Rumorosa, Mexico. The group stated they were robbed of their valuables by three men in hooded sweatshirts with bandanas covering their faces. At least one of the bandits was carrying a revolver. Following the robbery, the group was led into the United States by their guide, who then abandoned them and fled into the mountains. The case was reported to the appropriate authorities.

El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near El Paso, Texas. During processing, the subject claimed to have been robbed in Mexico by two unidentified males who threatened him with a knife south of the international border fence. The subject stated he entered the United States to avoid being assaulted. The case was reported to the appropriate authorities.

El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near El Paso, Texas. Records checks revealed the subject had a prior felony conviction for lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14, and had been previously removed from the United States.

Laredo Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Honduras near Laredo, Texas. During processing, the subject admitted to being a member of the MS-13 gang. Records checks revealed the subject had an extensive criminal history and had been previously removed from the United States.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 2,253 pounds of marijuana and a GMC Yukon near Ajo, Arizona. Agents observed the vehicle being driven at a high rate of speed with its headlights off and responded to the area. The vehicle was subsequently located abandoned in a dry wash. The marijuana was found inside the vehicle.

Del Rio Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near San Angelo, Texas. Records checks revealed the subject had an active warrant of arrest for sexual assault of a child issued in the state of Texas. The subject had also been previously removed from the United States.

Swanton Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 330 pounds of marijuana, $6,000.00 in U.S. currency, a Dodge Durango, and arrested a USC near Mooers, New York. The driver of the vehicle failed to yield during a vehicle stop and a controlled tire deflation device was successfully deployed. The marijuana was discovered in the vehicle.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,343 pounds of marijuana and a trailer near Ajo, Arizona. The trailer was parked in a public access area and a Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed the marijuana.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested three illegal aliens from Mexico and seized a loaded AK-47 style rifle, 24 rounds of ammunition, 6 cell phones, 2 hand-held radios, 3 cell phone chargers, 1 spare radio battery, and 1 radio charger near Three Points, Arizona. The subjects were identified as suspected scouts for a smuggling organization.
