Border Patrol agents seized over 13,197 pounds of marijuana valued at more than $9,348,120, over 312 pounds of methamphetamine valued at $10,000,000, and over 145 pounds of Ecstasy valued at 2,644,000. Agents arrested 10 criminal aliens and 6 gang members. There were 9 rocking incidents.

Detroit Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested a national of Ghana at the Greyhound Bus Station near Detroit, Michigan. Records checks revealed the subject had a warrant for homicide issued in the State of Pennsylvania.
El Paso Sector – A Border Patrol agent arrested a United States Citizen (USC) after he entered the United States without inspection near El Paso, Texas. Records checks revealed the
subject had warrants issued in the State of Texas for two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and for parole violation.
Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 2,786 pounds of marijuana valued at $2,228,760 and recovered a stolen 2006 Dodge truck near Sasabe, Arizona. As agents approached the truck, the driver got out and absconded into the surrounding mountains. Agents located the marijuana inside the abandoned truck. Records checks revealed the truck was reported stolen out of Bagdad, Arizona.
Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,511 pounds of marijuana, a 2003 Chevrolet, and a 2004 Ford Excursion while working with local sheriff’s deputies. The vehicles and marijuana were discovered abandoned on a remote road near Marana, Arizona.

Blaine Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 66.2 pounds of ecstasy valued at $1,200,000, a 2000 Ford Taurus, and arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Ferndale, Washington. After being notified of a vehicle incursion near the international border, agents encountered the subject and conducted a vehicle stop. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle and a subsequent search revealed a duffle bag containing 20 vacuum-sealed bags of ecstasy and night vision goggles.
Blaine Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 79.2 pounds of ecstasy valued at $1,444,000, a 1998 Jeep Cherokee, and arrested a USC near Sumas, Washington. Agents received information from a concerned citizen of possible illicit activity near the international border involving the subject’s vehicle. When agents encountered the subject, they initiated a vehicle stop and discovered two suitcases containing ecstasy inside the vehicle.
San Diego Sector – Border Patrol agents responded to a single vehicle accident near Jacumba, California and rendered medical aid. Agents encountered a vehicle that left the roadway and flipped upside down, trapping the sole occupant. Agents called for emergency medical services (EMS) while Border Patrol Emergency Medical Technicians stabilized and extracted the driver from the vehicle. Agents continued rendering medical aid until EMS arrived and airlifted the subject to a local hospital for treatment of chest and head injuries.

New Orleans Sector – A Border Patrol agent arrested two bank robbery suspects in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. An eyewitness to a bank robbery approached the agent and pointed out the suspect’s vehicle as it was leaving a parking lot. The agent followed the vehicle until it pulled into a parking lot and stopped. The agent then arrested the robbery suspects, who were subsequently turned over to local law enforcement officers.
Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents detained a USC near Brownsville, Texas. Records checks revealed the subject had a felony warrant for indecency with a child/sexual contact issued in the State of Texas.

El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Riverside, California. Records checks revealed the subject was previously removed from the United States and was a convicted sex offender.
El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Socorro, Texas. During processing, the subject admitted to being a member of the Barrio Azteca gang. Records checks revealed he was previously removed from the United States and had an extensive criminal record.
Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Rio Grande City, Texas. During processing, the subject admitted to being a member of the Mexican Mafia gang. Records checks revealed he was previously removed from the United States and had an extensive criminal record.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 5,912 pounds of marijuana valued at $4,729,600, a 1998 Freightliner tractor-trailer, and arrested a USC at the Falfurrias, Texas traffic checkpoint. The subject presented himself and the tractor-trailer for inspection and a Border Patrol canine alerted to the trailer. Further inspection of the trailer revealed 232 bundles of marijuana within the load of produce.
Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 312.5 pounds of methamphetamine valued at $10,000,000, a Freightliner tractor-trailer, and arrested two nationals of Mexico at the Falfurrias, Texas traffic checkpoint. The subjects presented themselves and the tractor-trailer for inspection and a Border Patrol canine alerted to the trailer. Further inspection of the trailer revealed the narcotics hidden inside crates of grapefruit.
Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Douglas, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject was a registered sex offender in the State of Illinois and was previously sentenced to three years imprisonment for aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico in Casa Grande, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject was previously removed from the United States and was convicted of attempted murder.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents seized a Ruger P-90 .45 caliber pistol near Amado, Arizona. As an agent attempted to arrest a group of four suspected illegal aliens, the aliens dropped their backpacks and fled. The pistol was discovered in one of the backpacks.
Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 311 pounds of marijuana valued at $248,960, a 2000 Ford, and arrested a USC near Three Points, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject had a criminal history which included a guilty plea to homicide in the second degree.

El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested a national of Iraq near Indio, California. The subject was turned over to agents after initially being arrested by local sheriff’s deputies for failure to comply with a court order issued in the State of California. Records checks revealed subject had an extensive criminal history and had been ordered removed from the United States.
San Diego Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico, five smuggled illegal aliens, and seized a 1992 Chevrolet Suburban near San Clemente, California. Agents initiated a vehicle stop and the driver jumped out of the moving vehicle in an attempt to escape on foot. The vehicle came to rest after striking a fence. Five illegal aliens from Mexico (including the driver) and one illegal alien from El Salvador were arrested.
Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested two illegal aliens from Mexico and seized 1,788 pounds of marijuana valued at $1,429,600 near Pia Oik, AZ. A group of suspected illegal aliens was detected inside the United States. Agents responded to the scene, arrested two subjects, and discovered multiple bundles of marijuana wrapped in plastic sugar sacks.
Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Sells, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject was convicted of a sex offense against a child and had an extensive criminal history including convictions for possession and intent to sell cocaine. The subject was previously sentenced to 41 months in federal prison after being convicted of re-entry after deportation.
