The Rise of Socialism

“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he doesn’t exist” – C. S. Lewis as dramatized in the movie “The Usual Suspects”

The modern history of socialism can be traced to the renaissance and the age of enlightenment. When the Germanic tribes invaded ancient Rome, they brought with them a Teutonic religion centered on the worship of Odin (Wōden), the ruler of Asgard, and the Earth Goddess Nerthus. After the fall of Rome, Christians replaced the worship of Odin and his pantheon of gods with the worship of Jesus Christ, but the conversion was not total.

During the age of enlightenment and the renaissance, meaning the re-awakening, Christianity would be turned on its head and the teachings of the ancients, especially the Greeks, would be re-introduced as the enlightened way to think of things. This resulted in a re-awakening of Egyptian, East Indian, Greek, and Roman philosophy. The European elite explored the Middle East, India, and China; bringing them into contact with a variety of ancient religions that supported a strong aristocracy at the expense of a poor working class.

Totalitarianism_by_A_R_PeachWeimar Romanticism

By the mid 18th century, German paganism began to replace Christianity in Europe as part of a “romantic” German folk movement called the Volksthiitigkeit (no English translation). This movement came to symbolize what would become the Weimar or German Romantic movement, which would totally abandon not only Christianity, but also its empirical science. People who came from wealthy aristocratic families would bring this about; and contrary to how they are portrayed in today’s textbooks, they were not interested in the working class or in equality.

In reality they were reacting to the republican experiment in representational democracy and individual liberty they saw taking place in America. The last thing the European elite wanted was to endorse representational democracy or the Christian faith that supported it – causing Thomas Jefferson to exclaim: “The comparisons of our governments with those of Europe are like a comparison of heaven and hell.”

Immanuel Kant

Weimar romanticism found it’s manifestation with 18th century German Philosophers like Immanuel Kant (1724 – 1804), who is widely accredited with providing the first definition of enlightenment saying, “Enlightenment is Man’s leaving his self-caused immaturity. Immaturity is the incapacity to use one’s intelligence without the guidance of another.” The other he refers to is the Hebrew-Christian God and His priests. Instead Kant taught pagan metaphysics and spiritualism, where morality does not come from God, but from the state, where only those trained to reason correctly can dictate what is or is not moral. Today Kant is idolized as the epitome of morals and ethics, when in reality just the opposite is true.

Fichte

Kant’s protégé was Johann Gottlieb Fichte (1762 – 1814) who embraced Kant’s metaphysical and transcendental ideals with extraordinary fanaticism. Fichte eventually became the rector of the newly constructed University in Berlin, where he would turn the university into a political tool for the promulgation of the Romantic (neo-pagan) religion, creating the precursor to National Socialism and the rise of Adolph Hitler. Hitler dedicated his bookMein Kampf to Dietrich Eckart, a leading figure in the Theosophical Society, which was started by the occult lesbian Helena Blavatsky. The National Socialists developed a form of Christianity that rejected the “Jewish” Jesus and replaced him with Wotan and the cult of nature that was centered on the worship of the Sun, Earth, and Moon.

Hegel

In 1814, Fichte died and his chair went to George Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel who taught that man’s full cooperation with the state was the only definition of freedom. Hegel said, “The state is the spirit which stands in the world; it is the realization of morality. The state is the reality of the moral idea – the moral spirit as the manifest, self-evident, substantial will which thinks for itself … The state is the sole condition of the attainment of the particular end and good. The objective of which is to achieve the absolute realization of the state as a higher being.” The popularity of Hegel led to a Hegelian movement among the ruling class, academia, and bureaucrats – representing the elite.

Communitarianism

Eventually Hegel’s movement fractured, taking two paths; where one path resulted in socialism, and the other in the works of Karl Marx. Today the re-branding of Kant, Fichte, and Hegel are at the heart of the Communitarian movement headed by professors in our universities. By re-branding the philosophy of these three men as being the purveyors of personal freedom and moral virtue, the philosophies of some of the most evil men in modern history are being inculcated into young minds.

Robert Owen and the New Moral Order

The modern concept of socialism begins with the English industrialist Robert Owen (1771 – 1858) who built on the works of Plato, Kant, and Hegel. Owen believed that socialism would be a “new” religion founded on the “immutable laws of the universe,” and would ultimately “replace all other religions founded on testimony.” The sole purpose of this religion, he said, was to “feel as much pleasure as one’s knowledge and power would permit.” Instead of a Church, socialism would worship in the “Halls of Science,” its clergy would be journalists and teachers, and Owen himself would be the new Jesus Christ.

Owen claimed that socialism would become the New Moral Order, what we today call the New World Order, consisting of a worldwide socialist dictatorship. Socialism would replace the Old Moral Order and its satanic beliefs in the family and Christianity where the Priesthood made mankind subservient to their slavish superstitions. He went on to say that the causes of evil in the world are existing religions, the governments of the world, professions, the monetary system of all nations, the practice of buying and selling for a profit, practices that produce competition, the current practice of producing and distributing wealth, and the current method of education.

Socialism as a Religion

Owens’ religion says man is just a machine or animal. It is considered blasphemy to break the laws of nature by tolerating human feelings of love and affection, or even liking or disliking one another. In the “New Moral Order,” marriage is condemned because it perverts “natural instincts” and subverts pleasure. Families are disallowed because they are perverse, and raising children is selfish since it deprives the state of its right to breed the species. In socialism, only the state can properly train a child on how to give pleasure or to accept edicts from the state on when to eat and when to die.

What is the New Faith?

The question is: what are the immutable laws of the universe that Owens’ “religion of science” is based on? Owen and his sons based their beliefs on what they called the “phenomena of a magneto-psychological character of analogous objects,” which were to be understood through “spiritualism and mediumship.” In 1868, Robert Owens’ son, Robert Dale Owen, published Footfalls on the Boundary of Another World, in which he described the “scientific” study of the Universe as a single cosmic being and proposed ways to commune with the dead – positions that come from ancient paganism.

Communing with the dead is called necromancy, and along with other forms of divination, has been a central tenant of every pagan religion dating back to Babylon and the worship of Ba’al. This includes the worship of Gaia(mother earth) in ancient Greece, and other pagan gods. In the Bible necromancy is mentioned chiefly in order to forbid it, or to admonish those who have practiced it. The Mosaic Law forbids necromancy (Leviticus 19:31; 20:6), declaring that to seek the truth from the dead is abhorred by God (Deuteronomy 18:11, 12), making it punishable by death (Leviticus 20:27; cf. 1 Samuel 28:9).

Paganism would return with the Renaissance through the revival of ancient doctrines, especially from ancient Greece. In his memoirs the Italian occultist and artist Benvenuto Cellini relates that he assisted at “necromantic” evocations in which multitudes of “devils” appeared and answered his questions. The German occultist Cornelius Agrippa talks about the magical rites by which souls are evoked. Both of these men would contribute to Weimar Romanticism, nature worship, and the works of Wolfgang von Goethe, which are discussed in the book. The Romantic Movement will serve as the catalyst that has manifested itself in what we now call socialism. As a distinct belief and practice, necromancy has reemerged under the name of  “New Age Spiritualism” as espoused by Robert Owen, and today’s leading socialists; including faux Christian leaders – both Catholic and Protestant.

Communist Confession of Faith

In 1847, Karl Marx’s partner, Friedrich Engels issued a Confession of Faith in which he stated, “All religions which have existed hitherto were expressions of historical stages of development of individual peoples or groups of peoples. But communism is that stage of historical development which makes all existing religions superfluous and supersedes them.”

Eventually, the Socialist Faith would be instilled into Christianity much like Hellenism was with Judaism. In 1904, German socialists Max Weber and Ernst Troeltsch, together with the Protestant theologian Gustav Deissmann, started a group called the Eranos Circle. This group sought to reconcile Marxism and Hermeticism with the Protestant movement. Among their stated beliefs was that Christianity was actually a product of the Mithras Cult who worshiped Sol Invictus Mithras. This cult, they said, had its foundation in Persian Zoroasterism. The Eranos Circleand their beliefs would have a profound influence on the Weimar Republic and Hitler’s National Socialist Party, which still affects Christianity today. (Note: Zoroasterism post dates the Mithras Cult so this could not have been possible.) Eventually this would turn into such things as the Social Gospel movement that infects Churches in America today.

It should be pointed out that there are over 800 Protestant denominations in America, and many of them have not been infected. There is a similar situation in the Catholic Church, where organizations like the Cardinal Newman Society are working to drive socialism from the Church.

Socialism vs. Capitalism – The False Choice

In order to attack Christianity and free market economics, Marx would separate political economics from morality, creating the opposite of natural law, what we now call moral relativism. Since the Christian concept of Natural Law did not allow for the separation of morality from political economics, Marx needed a “straw man” that he could argue against  without attacking Christianity directly, or bringing his own immorality into question. To do this he used a fictional political economy he got from the anarchist, Pierre-Joseph Proudhon (1809 –1865). Proudhon said that private property is theft and coined the word capitalism  as a system that worships money.

Marx used Proudhon’s arguments against private property and capitalism in Das Kapital where he made his version of political economy the cornerstone of Marxist ideology. Capitalism was described as a system based on private property and wealth that was totally devoid of any moral responsibility. It became a defamatory word used to malign Hebrew and Christian beliefs, especially their beliefs in the free-market and the middle class, without attacking them directly. A point to be made here is that socialism never attacks the elite, only the middle class, which is called the bourgeoisie in either French or German. In fact, Owens and Engels were wealthy, controlling the worldwide market for cotton and wool.

Marx and Proudhon would define Marxism as a natural outgrowth of capitalism, where socialism is presented as an intermediate step, calling capitalism the “Philosophy of Misery.” This definition of capitalism, socialism, and Marxism is taught in American universities today as history, where feudalism  supposedly evolved into capitalism, which would evolve into socialism, and finally Marxism – even though Marx and Proudhon made it all up. Today this fictional view of history is at the heart of an argument as to which is better, Capitalism or Socialism. The purpose of this argument is to weigh the worship of money against the worship of power, a nihilistic argument that ignores the laws of God; and socialism wins either way.

Progressives vs. Radicals

The difference between Owen and Marx was that Owen wanted to impose his New Moral Order gradually by attacking the system from within, while Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels wanted to impose socialism through a worldwide revolution. This shows that the idea in which there is an inevitable historical process that will result in socialism and then Marxism is a complete work of fiction. However, it does comply with the pagan belief that we have no free will.

Owen’s religion would result in the Fabian movement in England and the progressive movement in the United States, while the Marxists would become known as radicals. The radicals began to take form in 1848 with the Communist Manifesto and the creation of the First International organization in 1864. This would grow into a worldwide movement called the Comintern, with the First International Communist Congress being held in 1866 in Geneva. The Progressive’s received their first legal recognition at the Hague Conventions in 1899 and 1907, which produced a plan for “World Peace” through the creation of a world court and a set of international laws. The ultimate objective of these efforts was a one world socialist government, sometimes called a World Federation, or the New World Order – the stated goal of both radicals and progressives.

Marx and the Radicals

Traditional Marxist theory held that the concept of totalitarian ideology could only be accomplished through a worldwide revolution by the working class, who would rise up against their bourgeoisie oppressors. While the bourgeoisie were demonized as being rich industrialists, it was the elite who truly owned the multi-national corporations and wanted to destroy the middle class. After this destruction, the ruling class would then use force and coercion as their basis of domination, imposing every aspect of the socialist worldview at once.

The trigger for Marx’s worldwide revolt was supposed to be the outbreak of a massive prolonged war. However, when the First World War began, the Western factory workers who were supposed to rebel didn’t do so. Instead they clung to their Christian worldviews and patriotically defended their countries.

Towards the end of 1922, the Comintern began to ask itself: why workers around the world hadn’t risen up in support of Marxism? On Lenin’s initiative, a meeting was organized at the Marx-Engels Institute in Moscow to address this issue; their initial conclusion was that success and prosperity in the West had blinded people to their need to revolt. Socialists basically said that people were living too well to know that they were being taken advantage of, a criticism that is still leveled against American citizens today. If socialism was to succeed, a new method needed to be found for its implementation. Today we call what they came up with: Political Correctness and Multiculturalism, together called neo-Marxism sometimes called Cultural Marxism. This is discussed in much more detail in the book.

Progressives and neo-Marxism

The purpose of neo-Marxism is to implement the socialist faith over time by persuading people to embrace each element of that faith one piece at a time – bringing socialism and Marxism together. This would be accomplished by turning specific groups into victims of society, so as to convince people that Western civilization is a corrupt system that is unworthy of support. Together with something called Critical Theory, neo-Marxism would criticize every aspect of American life as being wrong.  One way to understand the purpose of political correctness and multiculturalism is to watch Stephen King’s movie “Needful Things,” and see how each person or group is pitted against another, the real purpose of multiculturalism.

Economics

What we today call free market economics was actually the product of the Christian Church and the Late Scholastics – which is where our founding fathers got it from; but contrary to popular belief, the concepts of free market economics and free trade are not synonymous. Modern history books assert that Adam Smith (1723 – 1790) and Karl Marx (1818 – 1883) invented the modern science of economics, but it just isn’t so. The first proposed concept of economics as a separate discipline originated with Alfred Marshal in 1890. Textbooks say that Adam Smith was the father of American economics; but in reality Smith borrowed his ideas from America, not the other way around. The myth says that Smith supported free trade and that each individual should do what is in his or her own best interest. The truth is, Smith was a Reverend and believed in the concept of Natural Law, where ones’ best interest is not obtainable in this world. He was also opposed to what we today call free trade.

About Marx, the economist Thomas Sowell points out, “[T]here is no premise, doctrine, or tool of analysis in economics today that is derived from the writings of Karl Marx.” In fact, Marx called his own work “Scheiße,” as none of it was original.

The concept that socialism is a system of economics began when people rebelled against the Fabians and their socialist faith, calling it a heresy. As a result, socialism as a faith would be redefined under the concepts of social democracy, giving rise to the Humanist movement. From this point on, the word socialism itself would come to be described only in economic terms, accounting for the Dictionary definition. The Fabian leader Sidney Webb would codify the concept that socialism is strictly an economic system, when he persuaded the Royal Commission of London University to declare economics to be a science.

On February 20, 1900, Beatrice Webb wrote in her diary, “This divorce of economics from metaphysics is a great gain, that is, for the advancement of scientific socialism in the English speaking world.” She admitted that the coup had been achieved by packing the University of London Commission with Fabians – thus hiding the spiritual aspect of the socialist faith – separating economics from morality.

Ricardian Socialism and Free Trade

The modern concept of free trade comes from the socialist David Ricardo (1772 – 1823), who worked with Owens’ partner Jeremy Bentham to produce what became known as Ricardian Socialism. In time, Ricardian Socialists and Owenite Socialists would converge creating a foundation for both Fabian and Marxist economics. The goals of Ricardian Socialism is the destruction of all world governments and the use of free trade to redistribute wealth, while redefining wealth in terms of labor, instead of capital investment.  About the true nature of free trade Marx said, “The protective system of our day is conservative, while the free trade system is destructive. It breaks up old nationalities and pushes the antagonism of the proletariat and the bourgeoisie to the extreme point. In a word, the free trade system hastens the social revolution.” Like the graduated income tax, free trade is a socialist invention, championed by Marx.

The return of the Latifundia

Kevin Bales is the President of Free the Slaves, an associate of Anti-Slavery International. Bales estimates some 27 million people labor as slaves – more than at any time in history.  He describes the situation very well saying: “One of the striking qualities of the post-Cold War globalization is how easily business and government in the capitalist democracies have abandoned the values they putatively espoused for forty years during the struggle against communism – individual liberties and political legitimacy based on free elections. Concern for human rights, including freedom of assembly for workers wishing to speak for themselves, has been pushed aside by commercial opportunity. Multinationals plunge confidently into new markets, from Vietnam to China, where governments routinely control and abuse their own citizens.”

The truth is free trade and international globalization is about making money through the use of slave labor; an abomination having nothing to do with free market economics. The shoes you wear, and the carpet you stand on were most likely made by slaves in Pakistan, India, China, Brazil, the Philippines, or Vietnam.  They make the TV you watch and grow the rice that fed the woman who wove the cloth for your curtains.

While the slaves who manufacture consumer goods keep the return on investment high, the slave trade itself is a booming business, worth tens of billions of dollars.  While illegal in every country in the world, today the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) view slavery as an integral part of trade, making a statement about the value of human life.

Bales points out: “Unlike Chattel Slavery of the past, where one person owned another, complete with a bill of sale, slavery today doesn’t care about such subtleties; they simply buy, kidnap, or mandate forced labor, that is used until it is no longer required” – just like ancient Rome. In China, workers are paid but can never escape a system where usury keeps them in debt, while in India the caste system allows those in the upper classes to use the lower classes as tools.  In Brazil, native Indians are simply abducted from the jungle, being fed just enough to grow crops for ethanol until they are no longer needed. The most enslaved people in the world are Christians, and their most prominent oppressors are Muslims and Hindus.  Saudi Arabia controls most of the Muslim slave trade, luring Filipino Christians to the Middle East on promises of employment where they are pressed into slavery.

Domestically cheap foreign labor is imported into the United States, both legally and illegally, replacing citizens. This includes “temporary” guest worker programs like the H-1B program where engineers, mathematicians, and scientists are being replaced with workers from India and China. Last year some 3 million foreign workers were imported under these programs, taking the same number of jobs Obama says he created during his 2012 State of the Union Speech.

Lost Knowledge

While portrayed as a modern system, socialism is actually the second oldest faith in the world. Around 1946, the writer and ex-Soviet spy, Whittaker Chambers, converted from socialism to Christianity and provided congressional testimony that contributed to setting the socialist movement back nearly 60 years. Chambers describes socialism as posing the age-old question: God or Man?

“It is not new. It is, in fact, man’s second oldest faith. Its promise was whispered in the first days of the Creation under the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil: ‘Ye shall be as gods.’ It is the great alternative faith of mankind, Like all great faiths, its force derives from a simple vision. Other ages have had great visions. They have always been different versions of the same vision: the vision of God and man’s relationship to God. The Communist vision is the vision of Man without God.”

Ronald Reagan credited Chambers for his conversion from a “New Deal” Democrat, posthumously awarding Chambers the Medal of Freedom.

The apostle Paul warned us of what was coming in  2 Timothy 3, where he said: “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God – having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.”

Who is right?

Socialism is “a permanent revolution, terrorism and bloodshed for revolution’s sake. There is no purpose to be attained; violence to the point of paroxysm is its only objective. This is what distinguishes Satanism from ordinary human sinfulness.”

– Karl Marx

We began this series of articles with the question: who is right, Fox business pundit Stuart Varney, Governor Rick Perry, the dictionary, or GOP strategist Frank Luntz? As it turns out, Luntz comes the closest when he says that Marx invented capitalism as a way of attacking Western Civilization. Unfortunately he missed the most important part – socialism is a pagan faith that has tormented mankind for some 6,000 years. It is a shining lie that corrupts our Christian nation where people are told that socialism is simply a matter of economics. The truth is that a Christian cannot be a socialist because it is a sin to steal or covet your neighbor’s property; but Christians cannot be capitalists either, because we have a moral obligation to give and receive freely – putting the laws of God ahead of the unrestrained quest for profit.

Read the Book

If you liked this series, or it helped you to understand what is happening to our country today, you should purchase: Totalitarianism: How the Socialist Faith is Destroying America. This article is about 4,000 words, while volume 1 of the book is over 160,000 words – providing a lot more information. It is imperative that we Americans understand what is broken; otherwise we will be duped into working against our own best interest.

Information contained in the book will challenge almost everything you believe to be true. It describes an ongoing war between Hebrew-Christianity and Socialism, between Good and Evil, and why America is currently losing that war. Central to this description is a documented assertion that Socialism is a faith, the only definition that explains its actions.

A product of 7 years of research, the book presents a view of our nation, world, and history that is unique because it provides something you have probably never heard before, the truth. Unfortunately, the truth is often hard to swallow, but if you want to accept the same old party line, or believe that things are just fine as they are, continue doing what you are doing. If not, this book will help you understand what is happening, and what to do about it. Remember, once the magician’s secret is revealed, the illusion no longer holds any sway.
