In the 1940s, when the Jews in America woke up to the unspeakable horror that their very own relatives or fellow-Jews in Germany, Poland, Vichy France and all over Europe were being savagely, grotesquely, sadistically murdered by Hitler, aided and gleefully abetted by the Muslim Brotherhood…sound familiar?, and that – worse to them – their hero FDR knew about Hitler’s slaughtering rampage but failed to take a moment from puffing tobacco through his pretentious cigarette holder to save them, they went into a period of sustained mourning.
While Jews of every political persuasion found it impossible to wrap their minds around the consciousness-anesthetizing number of six-million men, women, children, toddlers, babies and infants – half of the miniscule Jewish population of the entire world – being wrenched out of their homes in the middle of the night, brutally hurtled into suffocating cattle cars, and transported to camps where they were systematically starved, beaten, and worked to near-death, and then sent to “showers” of Xyklon-B gas that choked the lives out of them, the few Jews who remained knew something that the rest of the anti-Semitic world seemed not to have absorbed:
- 1. That throughout their lengthy but besieged history Jews had been through this kind of maniacally obsessed Jew-hatred before, a history that Professor of Linguistics George Jochnowitz painstakingly elaborates upon in The Universality Of Anti-Semitism – Normalizing Hate.
- That their enemies, including vast realms like the Roman, Babylonian, Persian and Ottoman Empires, among many others, always perished while the Jews always survived.
- That the remaining Jews in any conflict, no matter how small their numbers, would prevail.
As Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu “said the other day at New York City’s very own cesspool, the United Nations: “Throughout our history, the Jewish people have overcome all the tyrants who have sought our destruction. It’s their ideologies that have been discarded by history. The people of Israel live on.”
Why?
- Because the Bible that God gave to the Jews through Moses told them so!
- Because the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob told the Jews (Genesis 12:3) that “I will bless them that bless thee and him that curse thee I will curse.”
- Because God told the Jews (in Deuteronomy 7:6): “For thou art a holy people…the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be His own treasure, out of all peoples that are upon the face of the earth.”
And so, for the past five-thousand years, the Chosen People theme has been driving the entire world almost literally insane with homicidal envy…that and a million other manufactured excuses and rationalizations – as I spelled out in this article – that are used to legitimize Jew hatred, even in parts of the world where no Jews exist!
PRIDE
I remember eating breakfast with my twin brother Jonathan and my baby brother Zachary in his highchair in the mid-1940s in New Haven, while my father and mother – whose desperate-but-failed efforts to save European Jewry from Hitler’s annihilation – read daily headlines to us that in retrospect were clearly intended not only to assuage the grief they would feel until their deaths at very old ages, but also to keep the vibrancy, exceptionalism, and the God-ordained survival of Jews and Judaism and Israel alive through their children.
“Look at this,” my mother would read from the defunct New York newspaper, The Herald Tribune. “Look at all the Jews who won Nobel Prizes” (in literature, physics, chemistry, medicine, et al).
We were too young to appreciate that Jewry comprised – and still comprises – an infinitesimal 0.2 percent of the world’s now-seven-billion people, yet here are the astounding facts about the Nobel Prizes and the immense and disproportionate contributions Jews have made to the world and continue to make in spite of a virtual pandemic of resurgent anti-Semitism, fueled by the Jew-haters who lay relatively low for a few decades after the Holocaust but never lost their blood lust and hatred and most of all envy for God’s “chosen people.”
To this day, in spite of constant attack and vilification, the Jews of Israel and America (and the relatively few who live in the rest of the world) continue to contribute disproportionately to mankind. Writer Michael Ordman answers this question: How does tiny, besieged Israel do it?
My brothers and I were too young to know about the hate, but not too young to feel tremendous pride.
“Look at this,” my father would read from The New York Times, yet another Big Apple newspaper my parents relied on for what they misguidedly believed was unbiased information.
We would hear about the spectacular athletic accomplishments of Hall-of-Famer Hank Greenberg, first baseman for the Detroit Tigers, and his unique status as one of the few major league players to publicly welcome Jackie Robinson into baseball’s Major Leagues. Greenberg was the first Jewish player, but not the last – who can forget the Brooklyn Dodgers’ left-handed pitcher Sandy Koufax, another Hall of Famer – who refused to play baseball on Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement.
My brothers and I were too young to know about competitive sports or even the real meaning of Yom Kippur, but not too young to feel tremendous pride.
As we got older, my brothers and I learned that some of the most prestigious hospitals in America created quotas that specifically blocked the most brilliant Jewish pre-med students from internships and residencies. But guess what? Even the poorest Jews contributed to funds that built many of the greatest medical and research institutions in the United States. Ever hear of Mt. Sinai Hospital or Albert Einstein Hospital in New York? How about Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles? You know…the places where the enemies of the Jews look to when they’re in trouble! Here is a partial list of other life-saving Jewish medical institutions. Again, we were full of pride.
Jews were also blocked from entering many law firms and university faculties. Yet, many brilliant Jews became lawyers and successfully fought the quota system, not only for the Jews being ostracized from hospitals but also from Ivy League schools, and also for other victims of vicious prejudice, particularly black people but other ethnic groups as well. Yet again, my brothers and I were filled with pride.
And that pride was augmented when we learned that no matter how many avenues Jews were barred from, their first reaction was not to consider themselves victims, not to look for a handout, not to blame other people for their circumstances, and not ever to rail against the magnificent country they were living in – America – but rather to tap their imaginations and creativity and to take risks that none had taken before, as just two instances the creation of the entire motion picture industry and the building of Wall St. into the envy of every nation on earth.
My brothers and I studied the Bible and realized that the Judeo-Christian ethics upon which most of the world’s civilization is based was a direct result of our Jewish forebears. We learned of the widespread influence of Jewish sages and scholars and their staggering contributions to still-extant discussions of ethics, scholarship, law, morality. And we witnessed the monumental growth of Israel – surely the most consistently assailed country on earth – into a shining light of human creativity, ingenuity, generosity, innovation, resourcefulness, philanthropy, morality, and military might.
It was our awareness of our history that formed my own and my brother’s identities as proud Jews. To this day, it is that pride that drives Jews everywhere to continue to create, to build, to contribute.
But with our awareness of Jewish history came the realization that no one we would ever meet in our lives would have the moral authority to judge Jews or Judaism or Israel.
To this day, I scoff at the parsers who say that Israel is fine but not Zionism, at the historical revisionists who deny the Holocaust and identify with Israel’s enemies, and at both America’s and Israel’s left-wing politicians who militate against Israelis building homes (not “settlements”) on their own land but are obscenely silent when it comes to the barrage of enemy rockets that year after year rain down on Israeli civilians, or the savage jihadists who strap homicide bombs onto their preschoolers or stab a four-year-old Israeli boy in the heart, then slash his three-month-old sister’s throat! To me, they are all moral pygmies!
My brothers and I came of age, so to speak, in the 1950s – in my opinion the last great decade of the 20th century – in a community of Italian, Black, Irish and Jewish communities that liked and respected one another, that all had pride in their backgrounds, their ancestors, and the unique contributions each had made to the country we all loved.
Then along came the 1960s with the American-invented but world-changing birth-control pill; the advent of “gotcha” journalism and television capturing politics “live”; the America- and Jew-loathing Black Power movement; the family-destroying, abortion-adoring Feminist movement; and the passive-aggressive flower-power “peaceniks” and “hippies.”
Most destructive was the rise of a nihilistic progressive movement inspired by radicals Saul Alinsky and Karl Marx that was intent on destroying capitalism, sabotaging our military, eviscerating the middle class, and creating a Communist paradise on the order of those built by the dictators they admired most at that time, Fidel Castro and Nikita Khrushchev.
Sound familiar? It should. They are the radicals now running –and ruining – America, destroying capitalism (as Lee Prescott describes in his book, Barack Obama’s Plan to Socialize America and Destroy Capitalism), sabotaging our military, eviscerating the middle class with their tax plans from hell, and doing their best to usher in the blight of state-controlled healthcare- rationing, the abolition of our Constitution, the embrace of freedom-snuffing Sharia law, and Communism itself!
PREJUDICE
I knew nothing of Barack Obama before he ran for the U.S. presidency in 2008. But the minute he appeared on my radar, a big red flag of doubt popped up. It wasn’t his far-left voting but the words he himself said when campaigning, telling a sympathetic audience about those stupid working-class people who “bitterly cling to their guns and religion.” Right then, I said to myself: This guy is prejudiced!
It was also the words he himself wrote – or was it “the semi-retired terrorist” Bill Ayers who actually wrote “Dreams,” as author Jack Cashill has so convincingly posited in numerous articles and in his book, Deconstructing Obama?
When I read: “I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites,” I said to myself: This guy is prejudiced!
When I read, “The emotion between the races could never be pure…the other race (white) would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart,” I said to myself: This guy is prejudiced!
When I read in The Audacity of Hope, “It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.” I said to myself: This guy is prejudiced!
When I heard Barack Obama say that his grandmother was “a typical white woman,” I said to myself: This guy is prejudiced!
During the 2008 election, I saw the fiery anti-American, anti-Semitic Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s “spiritual” advisor and close friend – the man whose church he had attended for 20 years, who married Barack and Michelle, who baptized their two daughters – spew hateful rants against America and I said to myself: If Obama sat in that fire-breather’s pews listening to his Marxist screeds for 20 years and said nothing, he’s prejudiced!
During the 2008 election, I watched New Black Panther members stand outside a polling station in Philadelphia holding Billy Clubs and menacing voters. When I learned that Barack Obama told his Justice Department pick, Eric Holder, not to prosecute those law-breaking thugs, I said to myself: This guy is prejudiced!
When Harvard Professor Henry Gates’ house was being investigated for a possible burglary and he reflexively assumed the white policeman was a racist and became belligerent, I watched as Barack Obama, without 10-seconds worth of investigation, took immediately to the microphone in the White House to pronounce that the policeman “acted stupidly.” When I heard that, I said to myself: This guy is prejudiced! Writer Kelly Anderson Wright, the mother of “black/Mexican/white children” watched the same thing I did and wrote: Yes, I said it: Obama is a racist.
Here is a recent video of Barack Obama urging the creation of African Americans for Obama. Can you imagine Mitt Romney creating Caucasians for Mitt? Of course not!
Interestingly, Washington insider Dr. Jack Wheeler takes issue with Obama’s claim to be half African-American. Obama is “half-white, which he rejects,” Wheeler writes. “The rest of him is mostly Arab, which he hides but is disclosed by his non-African Arabic surname and his Arabic first and middle names as a way to triply proclaim his Arabic parentage to people in Kenya. Only a small part of him is African Black from his Luo grandmother, which he pretends he is exclusively. What he isn’t, not a genetic drop of, is ‘African-American’…he hasn’t a single ancestor who was a slave. Instead, his Arab ancestors were slave owners. Slave-trading was the main Arab business in East Africa for centuries until the British ended it.”
WHY SUCH HATRED?
We know that when Jews have faced tragedy, their pride has impelled them to redouble their efforts to succeed and build a better world. But what do prejudiced people do with the rage they feel about the tragedies in their own history or toward the scapegoats they choose to blame their problems on? Where does that rage come from?
In the case of Barack Obama, we know through his own testimony that he was raised by Marxists, that his mentor Frank Marshall Davis was a rabid Communist, that he sought out radicals at Occidental College as he did at Columbia and Harvard Law and during his community organizing days, that his cabinet and staff in the White House are comprised almost exclusively of radical thinkers and activists. In fact, some people believe that Davis was Obama’s real father – there’s even a new film claiming the same thing. If so, the Communist proclivity must be genetic!
You have to wonder what Mama Soetoro told young Barry while he was growing up in Indonesia. Did she tell him how wonderful it was that the Communist Fidel Castro and his murderous sidekick Che Guevara overthrew Cuba?
Did she tell him about Sukarno, Indonesia’s president from 1945-1967, whose political philosophy was an amalgam of Marxism, nationalism, and Islam. Sukarno loathed America and the CIA operatives who were trying to depose him, and his goal was to retaliate. In 1955, he organized the Bandung Conference to oppose colonialism by the United States, the Soviet Union, or any other nations he considered imperialistic. The only people who were invited were non-white, non-Western – specifically anti-Western – world leaders.
But he made one exception and that was a 30-year-old American named Malcolm X. According to an article entitled “Who’s Your Daddy?”, “the charismatic Marxist revolutionary, “who had renounced his surname of Little, embraced Islam, preached black nationalism, traveled widely to African Muslim countries, and identified himself strongly with capitalism-hating Communists Fidel Castro and Nikita Khrushchev. While Malcolm X was not a world leader, Sukarno clearly saw him as the perfect fit for the anti-white, anti-capitalist conference.”
Did Mama Soetoro tell young Barry about the assassination of Malcolm X? Could Malcolm X – whose resemblance to Obama is striking – be Obama’s real father?
Another Sojourner for Truth, who wrote Barack Obama – The Red Menace, explains that, “the undocumented occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is the result of six decades of Communist infiltration and subversion of U.S. culture and the U.S. government. In 1959, Premier Khrushchev promised, `We will bury you!’ and it is clear that our enemies now believe they are close to their endgame.”
What does Barack Obama have in common with his radical associates? Or more precisely, what is the central organizing principle of Marxism, Communism, and American radicalism?
THE H WORD
It is hatred of America! Hatred of what the Muslim Brotherhood in America and throughout the world calls The Great Satan. And that epithet is indistinguishable in their minds from The Little Satan, Israel – as the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, patiently explains in this video to a seething Barack Obama during his visit to the White House last March.
This all-consuming hatred is fueled as the Jew-haters watch tiny Israel blossom, flourish and, today, achieve the best economy in the world, while their neighbors – whose leaders travel in private planes and streamlined limos and reside in opulent palaces, literally with gold-plated toilets! – keep their cruelly-exploited masses impoverished, uneducated, hungry, and generally fixated in the 7th Century! Quite a stark contrast between the malice with which they treat their so-called refugees and the way Jews welcomed to Israel the 850,000 Jews living in Arab countries after they were dispossessed and forced out between 1947 and 1972.
Instead of imitating Israel, the “religion” of Israel’s enemies insists, demands – indeed commands – that its adherents kill the hated infidel (including all Christians) and that they spend every waking moment from birth till death thinking and dreaming about and plotting to kill Jews and destroy Israel. Imagine.
Americans currently have a man in the White House, according to a painstakingly detailed article in Investor’s Business Daily – “How Obama Engineered Mideast Radicalization” – who is “even colluding with the Muslim Brotherhood…” The article goes on to reveal these bone-chilling facts:
- Hillary Clinton’s Department of State helped train Brotherhood leaders for the Egyptian elections…behind the scenes, she and the White House made a calculated decision, and took step-by-step actions to effectively sell out Israel and U.S. interests in the Mideast to the Islamists.
- The untold story of the “Arab Spring” is that the Obama administration secretly helped bring Islamofascists to power.
- The Muslim Brotherhood’s sudden ascendancy in the Mideast…was helped along by a U.S. president sympathetic to its interests over those of Israel and his own country.
Obama seems to reserve a special animosity toward Jews, as depicted by this video of the most anti-Israel U.S. president since the founding of the Jewish state…“who treats the enemies of America and Israel like allies and treats Israel as an enemy.”
Frank Gaffney, founder and director of the Center for Security Policy in Washington, D.C., has developed a free, 10-part series called “The Muslim Brotherhood in America,” which alarmingly describes the degree to which Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and their ilk have “greatly exacerbated the penetration of the U.S. government” by the Muslim Brotherhood, advancing “their civilization jihad against the United States, here at home and abroad.”
Gaffney says the penetration includes the State Department, Homeland Security, the FBI and right up to the Oval Office! It is clear that the Military, too, has been co-opted and that includes our teaching institutions like West Point, et al.
Here is a sampling of the Muslim Brotherhood Fact Sheet:
- The Brotherhood’s goal is to turn the world into an Islamist empire…to restore the caliphate and strict Shariah (Islamist) law in Muslim lands and, ultimately, the world.
- The Muslim Brotherhood logo is: “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope. Allahu akbar!”
- The Brotherhood wants America to fall. It tells followers to be “patient” because America “is heading towards its demise.”
- The Brotherhood calls for jihad against “the Muslim’s real enemies, not only Israel but also the United States.”
- Hamas is a “wing of the Muslim Brotherhood.” The Hamas Charter calls for the murder of Jews, the “obliteration” of Israel and its replacement with an Islamist theocracy.
So there you have it, the organization that considers America, Israel, Jews, Christians, and all non-believing “infidels” their mortal enemies, is essentially running our country!
J.T. Hatter, in his article, The Weak Horse, says that on the ninth anniversary of the September 11th attacks, “Barack Obama called for religious tolerance. The term `tolerance’ is a Trojan-horse code word used by the left, Communists, and Islamists to attack and destroy Christian values, American constitutional government, and Western culture.”
And now we find this sickening fact, that according to the extraordinarily well-informed Walid Shoebat, the despicable episode in Benghazi was staged by a cabal run directly out of Valerie Jarrett’s White House, in conjunction with the Muslim Brotherhood! They made the inflammatory film a year ago, kept it on ice, then quietly posted it in early July to start the jihadist ball rolling.
And of course Hillary Clinton and her chief aide, Muslim-Brotherhood-affiliated Huma Abedin, are now entrenched in the very top of our State Department. As Stella Paul writes, “Despite all the elite venom hurled at [Cong.] Michele Bachman for unmasking Huma, the evidence against Abedin is overwhelming. Andrew McCarthy, Walid Shoebat, and Diana West have factually established that the Muslim Brotherhood is the Abedin family business…”

PREJUDICE AD INFINITUM
Given the clear preference Barack Obama has for America’s enemies over America’s allies, the undisguised hostility he has displayed toward Israel’s Prime Minister, the disturbing attraction he has for all things Muslim Brotherhood, it is no mystery that he also embraces just about every public figure who has something vicious and inflammatory and anti-Semitic to say about Jews and Israel, for instance Jessie “Hymietown” Jackson, “Minister” Louis Farrakhan (in his own Jew-hating words), “Reverend” Al Sharpton (of the Crown Heights pogrom and anti-Jewish massacre in Harlem fame), and of course:
- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, whose relationships with terrorists began in the mid-1980s when she served on the Board of the New World Foundation, which gave funds to the Palestine Liberation Organization [when] the PLO was officially recognized by the U.S. government as a terrorist organization.
- Susan Rice, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, who has advocated ending all U.S. military aid to Israel.
- Lee Hamilton, who has suggested that the U.S. should pressure Israel to surrender the Golan Heights and leave the West Bank – but not a word about dismantling Hamas or Hezbollah!
- Zbigniew Brzezinski, longtime Israel loather, who suggested that the Obama administration should tell Israel that the U.S. will attack Israeli jets if they try to attack Iran.
- John Brennan, Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security, who suggests that Obama & Co. “reach out” to Hezbollah.
- Samantha Power, who has advocated ending all U.S. military aid to Israel and also advocated, Ed Lasky writes, “that America send armed military forces,” “a mammoth protection force” and an “external intervention” to” impose a settlement between Israel and the Palestinians.” But it gets worse.
Again, writer Stella Paul suspects that Obama’s illegal war in Libya was a trial run to attack Israel. “Now that our Ambassador is dead, our Benghazi consulate is a smoldering ruin, and its top secret documents have been snatched by Al Qaeda”… “it’s a nightmare for our national security”… but for “ Obama’s biggest donor, the convicted felon and renowned Israel-hater George Soros, the Libyan War is a triumph.” This is because Obama “waged it illegally and without the consent of Congress.”
Paul explains that Soros paid Samantha Power to develop a program called Responsibility to Protect, or R2P, and she persuaded Obama to send our military to Libya for the first R2P intervention.
“Samantha Power doesn’t like Jews very much,” Paul writes, “and she really doesn’t like Israel, probably because so many Jews live there.”
If Obama gets a second term with “more flexibility,” it’s not much of a stretch to imagine the day when the United Nations and its assorted culture warriors screech that the poor Palestinians need R2P! And whether the American people want it or not, Obama will eagerly offer up our military “to be volunteered by others” to attack Israel.
- Iranian-born Valerie Jarrett, Obama’s Senior Advisor – or, as an IBD editorial calls her, “Obama’s Rasputin” – is often written about as if she were the de facto POTUS. Writer Doug Book reports: “A ruling handed down on September 13th by the D.C. District Federal Court has finally made clear what many have known for years – that the Obama Administration’s Iran policy was initiated and advanced by a group with illicit, hidden ties to the Iranian Regime and financed by the U.S./Israel-hating George Soros.” And now we learn that Jarrett’s father was a Communist and that her father-in-law was a close associate of none-other than Frank Marshall Davis. Birds of a feather and all that!
- Dalia Mogahed, the “most influential Muslim” in the White House, according to Ryan Mauro, founder of WorldThreats.com. She is a close colleague of John Esposito, a staunch defender of the Muslim Brotherhood and a witness for the defense during the Holy Land Foundation trial.
- Billionaire hedge-fund manager, Jewish-born George Soros, longtime Israel hater, who runs not only Barack Obama, but more than 30 mainstream news outlets, including The New York Times, Washington Post, the Associated Press, NBC and ABC, and also funds numerous anti-Israel groups.
According to journalist Clare M. Lopez, “we are witnessing the stepped process of the Islamization of American domestic and foreign policy unfold before our eyes…the new Caliphate is rising under the leadership of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) through the directed action of its individual member states in coordination with the Muslim Brotherhood. Violent jihad is unleashed, and the United States of America is bowing to Sharia on satellite TV and the global Internet for all the world to see.”
In an interview with Kathryn Jean Lopez, attorney Andrew C. McCarthy, prolific writer about terrorism and radical Islam and prosecutor of the Blind Sheik who is now serving a life sentence in U.S. federal prison for his involvement in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing that killed six people and injured thousands, talks about his new e-book, “Spring Fever: The Illusion of Islamic Democracy.”
“Obama’s embrace of Islamists has done more for terrorist recruitment than almost anything else our government could have done,” McCarthy says. “Obama’s treatment of Israel has been deplorable. He has seemingly gone out of his way to provoke the Israelis, most recently by excluding them from the State Department’s Counterterrorism Forum – in which we `partner` with Turkey (which now funds Hamas) and other Islamist countries – even though Israel is the world’s leading target of terrorism. Obama is affirmatively advancing the position of our enemies. He is telling the world that it’s better to be America’s enemy than America’s friend.”
Now you know why I feel blessed and take pride in being Jewish. And why the bitterly angry enemies of the Jews come not from a place of pride but of prejudice.
Happily, we live in America and can kick out the current regime in November and vote for a candidate who actually loves America and can put its citizens back to work. We Americans have been through every trial and tribulation imaginable and prevailed. We can beat this Trojan Horse as well! Get out there and vote… and tell everyone you know to cast their vote for FREEDOM!
