Border Patrol agents seized over 12,385 pounds of marijuana and 174.5 pounds of Ecstasy. Agents arrested 14 criminal aliens and 14 gang members. There were five rocking incidents.

El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Columbus, New Mexico. Records checks revealed the subject had an extensive criminal history, including a prior felony conviction in the state of California for child molestation. The subject previously had been removed from the United States.
Laredo Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested a USC, five illegal aliens from Mexico, and seized a Freightliner tractor at the traffic checkpoint near Laredo, Texas. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle and a subsequent search by agents revealed the illegal aliens locked in a sleeper compartment.
Laredo Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Laredo, Texas. Records checks revealed the subject had an extensive criminal history, including prior felony convictions in the state of Illinois for rape. The subject previously had been removed from the United States.
Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from El Salvador and an illegal alien from Mexico near Nogales, Arizona. During processing, both subjects were identified as members of the Mara Salvatrucha 13 (MS-13) gang. Records checks revealed the subject from El Salvador previously had been removed from the United States.

Del Rio Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,075 pounds of marijuana, a Ford Excursion, and arrested two United States Citizens (USC) near Brackettville, Texas.
El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Calexico, California. Records checks revealed the subject was a convicted sex offender in the state of California and previously had been removed from the United States.
Laredo Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested a USC, eight illegal aliens from Mexico, and seized a cargo truck at the traffic checkpoint near Bruni, Texas. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle and a subsequent search by agents revealed the illegal aliens in a hidden compartment under the truck.
Marfa Sector РBorder Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Honduras in Lubbock, Texas. During processing, the subject admitted to being a member of the Norte̱o gang. Records checks revealed the subject had a prior felony conviction for transport/sell narcotics/controlled substance and previously had been removed from the United States.

El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 228 pounds of marijuana following an ultralight aircraft (ULA) incursion near Calexico, California. The ULA was observed entering U.S. airspace and agents responded to the suspected drop zone where they discovered the marijuana. The ULA was observed returning to Mexico.
El Paso Sector РBorder Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Deming, New Mexico. During processing, the subject admitted to being a member of the Sure̱o 13 gang. Records checks revealed the subject had an extensive criminal history and previously had been removed from the United States.
Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 502 pounds of marijuana and rescued an illegal alien from Mexico near McAllen, Texas. Agents entered the water and rescued the subject from the Rio Grande River after he drove his pickup truck into the river to avoid apprehension. The subject was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The marijuana was found in the vehicle.
Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from El Salvador near Rio Grande City, Texas. During processing, the subject admitted to being a member of the MS-13 gang. Records checks revealed the subject previously had been removed from the United States.
Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Amado, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject had a prior conviction for first degree manslaughter in the state of New York and previously had been removed from the United States.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 5,582 pounds of marijuana, a tractor-trailer, and arrested a USC at the traffic checkpoint near Falfurrias, Texas. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle and a subsequent scan using non-intrusive inspection technology revealed within the trailer. A subsequent search by agents uncovered the marijuana.
San Diego Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,543 pounds of marijuana, a fishing vessel, and arrested three nationals of Mexico near San Clemente, California.
Spokane Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 174.5 pounds of Ecstasy and arrested two illegal aliens from Canada near Laurier, Washington. Agents arrested the subjects after they illegally entered the United States.
Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Pisinimo, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject had a prior conviction in the state of California for lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 and previously had been removed from the United States.

Miami Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Honduras near Hollywood, Florida. During processing, the subject admitted to being a member of the MS-13 gang. Records checks revealed the subject previously had been removed from the United States.
Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,142 pounds of marijuana and a Ford truck near La Casita, Texas. Agents discovered the vehicle containing the marijuana abandoned.
Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,153 pounds of marijuana and a Chevrolet Suburban near Rio Grande City, Texas. Agents observed several subjects loading suspected bundles of narcotics into the truck near the Rio Grande River. When agents approached, the subjects absconded. The marijuana was found in the truck.
San Diego Sector – Border Patrol agents seized ten pounds of iodine, five pounds of phosphorus, a vehicle, and arrested two USCs at the traffic checkpoint near San Clemente, California. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle and a subsequent search by agents uncovered the contraband. Both substances are precursor chemicals used to create illicit drugs such as methamphetamine.
Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Sells, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject had a prior felony conviction in the state of Oregon for rape. The subject previously had been removed from the United States.

Laredo Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested two USCs suspected of armed robbery and murder near Cotulla, Texas. Local law enforcement officers requested Border Patrol assistance in locating suspects in a reported robbery and shooting. Shortly thereafter, a gas station was robbed by subjects matching the description. Agents arrested two suspects and recovered a shotgun. Both suspects and the shotgun were turned over to local law enforcement officials.
